QR Themes, Formats & Digital Menu QR

Customize QR visual designs, download bulk print files, and generate entrance lobby digital menus.

📍 Where to find it on screen:
Dashboard -> Tables / QR Code -> Themes → Click "Customize Themes / Download All QRs"
Interactive theme previewer showing live QR cards with logo centers, theme pickers, and export format buttons.

How It Works

3 Built-in Design Themes: MintLight offers: (1) Elegant Green with branded typography and rounded borders, (2) Classic Black & White for high-contrast thermal sticker printing, and (3) Modern Minimalist with clean borders and a centered restaurant logo.

Vector SVG vs Raster PNG: SVGs scale infinitely to any print size without blurring or pixelation, making them ideal for professional print shops. PNGs are ready for immediate office printing and lamination.

View-Only Digital Menu QR: Generates a general menu URL (https://mintlight.com/[slug]/menu) without table or key parameters. Guests can browse dishes, dietary tags, and prices, but checkout is disabled. Perfect for reception desks, window posters, and Instagram links.

Table-Keyed QR Codes: Contain encrypted table identity (https://mintlight.com/[slug]/menu?table=T1&key=...). These must be placed at actual dining seats to enable live order placement.

What Happens Next
Print vendors can produce durable acrylic table tents, metal plaques, or stickers. Guests scan the codes to open the tailored menu corresponding to their exact seating location.
  • Table standees securely route guests into table ordering sessions.
  • Lobby standees allow walk-up customers to preview menus without creating phantom orders.
⚠️ Operational Rules & Restrictions
  • View-Only QRs NEVER accept order placement, regardless of whether Table Ordering is toggled ON.
  • Never place the View-Only QR on dining tables where live ordering is expected.
  • Always test-scan printed standees with both iPhone (Safari) and Android (Chrome) before commercial deployment.

⚡ Common Floor Scenarios & Edge Cases

Situation: A diner scans the entrance lobby View-Only QR while seated at Table 4.

What to do: The customer will see a notice: "This is a view-only menu. Please scan the QR code located on your table to place an order."

Situation: Printing onto 58mm compact thermal sticker rolls.

What to do: Select the "Classic Black & White" theme for optimal thermal contrast and sharp barcode scanning.

📋 Real-World Shift Walkthrough

Signage Production for a Rooftop Lounge

Manager Priya downloads vector SVG files using the Modern Minimalist theme. She forwards the ZIP archive to a local acrylic fabricator, who laser-engraves the SVG onto frosted acrylic blocks for tables R1 through R8. The codes scan instantly under ambient candlelight.

🔧 Troubleshooting & Rapid Fixes

Problem: The QR code scans slowly or fails to open in dim lighting.
Why this happens: Low-contrast printing, glossy reflections, or printing too small (under 3x3 cm).
How to fix: Print QR codes at least 5x5 cm in size and use the high-contrast Classic B&W or Elegant Green themes.
Problem: Customers at tables say they cannot find the "Place Order" button.
Why this happens: The physical standee was printed with the View-Only QR code instead of the table-keyed QR code.
How to fix: Verify the standee was printed from the specific table card, which includes table and key parameters in its URL.
